Proofs

Our photographer, Richard Link sent us the proofs of our pictures we took. He'll do some work in photoshop on them before they are printed. I'm not posting our family pic on here because he will have A LOT of photoshopping to do on that one! ;) It seems like we can't all smile at the same time AND have all of our eyes open. But he is a genius at photoshopping so I am sure they will turn out great. I hope that you get a kick out of them as much as I do. -Laurel

Amber Waves of Grain

The big thing here is to have a family protrait taken in a wheat field. I am trading a photographer some artwork in exchange for our family pic. Last night we went and took the pictures. We made a path in the wheat and then Zack got stuck in it. :) These were some outtakes I snapped but the real pics will be forthcoming. You can double click on the images to make them bigger.

Enjoying the last days of summer

Today the kids and I went to the river that's about 45 min away. The last few times we have gone, we have caught little fish by hand and brought them home to live in our little pond. Today was no exception. The kids had a blast!

Silly boy

Zack recently painted his first painting. I am so proud!

At dinner Zack cracks us up by clenching his fists and jaw and shaking. Johnny decided to get in on the act last night.

Here's some recent pics. We went to a river and even though it was cloudy Zack had a good time. Then he got his first haircut. The last pic is of the kids in a wheat field about a month ago. Now the fields are golden. You can see Johnny in the background walking down the mountain.

Why a Blog

Living so far from family I've realized that the internet is a great way to keep in touch. The whole idea of having a blog seems pretty weird to me but I've noticed that I am more up to date on what is going on with those of our friends and famliy that have a blog. So, to keep in touch better I've created this blog. I will try not to fill it with lots of boring info. but I know that could very well happen and so I apologize in advance. :) I'll try to keep it entertaining. Love, Laurel
