yard work

Here's some pics of projects that we recently have done in the yard. I made a dog run for Phoebe and hung a sign over a flower bed that a shop downtown gave me since the flower shop is no longer in business. We used the dirt fron the patio redo and made a "Mount Nickels" behind the garden.

Unexpected necessities

My friend Jane and I went for 3 days and 2 nights on an antiquing mission. It was my first time away from Jeremy and the kids and we had a blast. We ended our tour with the Farm Chicks show in Spokane. We found lots of "unexpected necessities" and had lots of girl food and laughs. Jeremy was a great sport and kept everyone alive and things running at home. Way to go Hloo! My "big" purchases were these old wagon or farm wheels... good thing we took the truck!

Music Man

So the girls are taking music lessons. Hayley has been playing the flute for about a year and Clara recently started the Clarinet. The other day Zack got ahold of a harmonica and has been cracking us up ever since!

Memorial Day Project

This last Memorial Day we extended our patio. It's not that big but it was a lot of work since the ground slopes to one side and we had to make it level. We did put out our flag and donate some flowers from our yard for decorating graves, but other than that it was all work. When we were done I stained it so that our existing slab and the pavers would match. How bout Jeremy with the tile saw? Now that I know he knows how to use it I might get some more ideas for future projects.... (Just kidding Jeremy!) Now all I want is a pergola... ;)

Nickels Family Holiday

We recently declared a Friday an official Nickels Family Holiday where we skipped school and work and went camping at a nearby river. Lots of fun was had by all and the kids especially like taking the dog along.

The look in the top pic says it all...
