Lloydering in Idaho

We started our Thanksgiving trip and went to visit Annie and her family and had an awesome time at their home. They have the neatest horse and he was so gentle and fun. The cousins had lots of fun together and we are looking forward to a family reunion at their home in July. After a couple of nights with them and their new baby, Suzanna, we were sad to leave and continue on to Utah. Along the way we stopped and saw Johnny for lunch before he headed home for Thanksgiving. That was a real treat since we hadn't planned on him still being in town so we were glad to catch him before he left!

Recent Pics

Here's some recent pics. Our maple tree out front was a beautiful color. It was pretty while it lasted before the wind came last night.:) Hayley and Clara tried cousin Addy's idea of baking cookies with Halloween candy. It was a great way to use up candy. Thanks Addy! Clara learned that Nerds don't bake well and turn out like melted plastic, but the rest was delicious! This last weekend we went hiking in the mountains again, and Hayley, Clara and I made a stick fort in the woods. They did a good job! Hope all is well with you and happy Autumn!

Halloween!!!!!

Happy Halloween! This year Hayley was a bat, Clara was a jaguar, and Zack was as he puts it, a "football guy." Zack and I made the rounds today in the girls' classes. From the pics it looks like I helped the teacher while he ate. But the top pic is actually Zack and Hayley in the cafeteria at lunch. We had lots of fun trick or treating -the rain stopped thanks to Hayley saying a prayer :) . Zack was soooo excited while we were getting ready to go out- even though he didn't know what was going to happen, he was excited that we were all going to go play outside at night. He ran around on one of neighbor's porches screaming with joy and then tried to go inside everyone's house. (Isn't that what you normally do after you ring the bell?) All in all we had lots of fun, way too much sugar, and are looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday. :)

Sauce!

The other night at dinner, Zack was loving the applesauce. As soon as he finished his portion he would yell out, "Sauce!" asking for more. Well, it got to the point where he had eaten so much "sauce" that I had to put it away. By that time he was wearing quite a bit of it, but believe it or not, most of it did make it into his mouth. (Yeah, I forgot the bib)

Haircut Boys

Once again was time for the boys in our family to get their haircuts. This is new territory for us to have a kid needing frequent haircuts, so this time he went with dad. The "after" pic is on the top. So handsome!

Our Dam Tour

This weekend we went on a tour of a dam on the Snake River. They have an elaborate system in place to help the spawning fish get over the dam using a fish ladder and crazy "rivers" that run all through the structure of the dam. At one point, they have viewing glass so that you can see the fish as they go up the ladder. A person sits at a window and counts all the fish going through the dam. Some steelhead trout were up to 3 feet long! They wouldn't let us take pictures since they've tightened security from 9-11, but this is a pic of the fish viewing spot that I found on their website to show you what we saw.

Getting Squashed

Today I picked the pumpkins that we grew so that I could put them on the porch. (Well, actually the ones I planted didn't do so good- but this one was a volunteer from last year's pumpkin that I threw in my compost area!) While I was decorating for Fall outside, our neighbor, Jack, came over and asked if I wanted some squash. It was so big he was cutting it with a saw! I thought it was funny so I had to take a picture of his giant squash.
